Hi there, I'm Tom, currently working out of the University of Sussex where I perform fundamental research in brain function and visual physiology. Having spent a lot of my life in education I have developed a passion for learning and later for teaching. I have taught many students from undergraduates through to supervising masters and Ph.D. students in Neuroscience and Biology, and have held neuroscience courses in a number of secondary schools in London from GCSE to A-level. I believe the best tutors can not only teach you what you need to know to pass your exams and achieve your academic goals, but can also inspire a genuine interest in your topic; encouraging curiosity, independent learning and creating a friendly environment where there is no such thing as a stupid question. In my spare time I spend time with my little family, and enjoy travelling and rock climbing regularly with friends.
