I am a 25-year-old London-based Oxford graduate looking to help secondary school students with the study of Latin and/or French. My working hours are highly flexible and I would be willing to approach the subjects from whichever angle one prefers; whether a student wants to practise his/her spoken French, learn Latin grammar only or simply needs help understanding the syllabus. Elsewhere I am a freelance writer who has been published in "The Guardian" and writes mainly about classical music for sites such as Broadway World and Operawire. During my secondary school and university years I tutored younger students in both Latin and French. I have also contributed to teaching elementary Russian to children, being a fluent Russian speaker.
|University of Oxford (Trinity College) - 2015||Classics and French||Bachelor's|
I spent time during my secondary school and university years tutoring several students in both French and Latin, mostly in order to help them understand the syllabus. Elsewhere I've taught children Russian (being bilingual in English and Russian) from scratch and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am very happy to tailor my sessions according to every student's personal needs - whether this means focussing on an aspect of grammar, a particular book, an essay, conversational French or pure translation. This also applies to the question of homework: I will set it according to whether or not the student and/or parent guardian wants it.
