Hello! My name is Shauna, and I recently returned to the UK from Japan, where I worked in an international school teaching children aged 4-17. I become the Early Years Coordinator across five schools, managing the programme for kindergarten to second grade. We used Read, Write, Inc, and I also have trained in using Jolly Phonics. I am passionate about helping learners become confident in encoding (writing and letter formation) and decoding (reading and letter recognition). I devised a series of interventions for my school in Japan, helping those who needed extra support. My background is in museum and gallery education, specialising in youth participation, and teaching English to Japanese children who had lived abroad. I am confident, empathetic, jolly, supportive, patient, organised, fun, and high achieving. I would love to support your children in achieving their best.
