Hi, I’m Ross. I teach economics to A-level and university students. I achieve top results by explaining the core economic concepts using simple real-life examples, developing easy-to-understand connections between topics. I completed a post-graduate MSc in economics at the University of Warwick and regularly attained the highest marks amongst my peers. Before tutoring, I worked in industry for a highly reputable economic consulting team at Deloitte so have plenty of practical knowledge as well. I use my experience to explain to students how businesses and governments apply economic concepts, drawing directly from my own dealings with clients. During my time as a professional economist, I worked with the NHS on developing its internal market structure; governments on creating their health and social care funding models and charities on calculating their social and economic impact.

Over the last academic year, I have taught over 50 clients studying at A-level, IB, GCSE and at university (BSc, MBA, MSc). I adapt my teaching strategies to meet the requirements for each syllabus. I work online (at £35/hour) as we can usually cover material in greater detail than in person. I tutor via Zoom on an online whiteboard software called bitpaper. In my experience, this method is faultless and raises the learning experience to parity with face-to-face lessons. I also provide face-to-face lessons (for 2+ hour lessons at £50/hour). I prepare intensely for each lesson based on the student's needs to ensure that we can make the most of the short time so lessons become fun and engaging. I set homework each week and mark it by the next lesson, adding in-depth, line-by-line supportive commentaries.
