Friendly humanities tutor in Fulham.

I started by tutoring my siblings, and found it was something I genuinely enjoyed - since then I have taught Politics and Philosophy to degree standard and Sociology to A-Level. I have also helped others secure competitive university places by reviewing their UCAS applications. During school I took History, Sociology, Politics and English Literature to A Level, receiving top grades in each. My degree is in International Relations -however owing to the Scottish system I also studied Philosophy and History. I was awarded several prizes whilst at university, and was published in my third year. After graduation I received a scholarship to undertake a Diploma in Law at City, University of London. I believe the best approach to teaching is keeping things as simple as possible, using real life examples, whilst reinforcing what the examiner's assessment objectives are. I am very patient and looking forward to meeting anyone, from KS3 to degree, wanting a helping hand.

Tutorean Interview

Robert is very conscientious, thoughtful and patient. Though relatively new to Tutoring, Robert has grown up teaching his twin brother and younger sister, in addition to providing mentoring and teaching support to peers and younger students at his school. He has worked with students with learning difficulties and has recently moved to London with an ambition to become a barrister. Alongside his law degree, Robert is looking to support students through their studies and is prepared to put in a lot of preparation to make sure his lessons are well structured and thought-out.
