Location: Oxfordshire & London. Tutoring is my full-time profession. I have over 6 years' experience in the field, and would not continue in this line of work if I didn't find it enjoyable. My aim when tutoring is to help students gain not only success in a subject, but also genuine interest. Beyond work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, drawing, and studying my "pet" languages. Every linguist has one! Mine are Icelandic and its Old Norse forerunner.

I have been a tutor since graduating in 2012, with a focus on Spanish, Linguistics, and admissions to top UK universities. I also regularly work in schools, again focussing on university admissions (winning that agency's Top Tutor Award in 2018). I am a regular tutor at a holiday school which offers intensive revision courses here in Oxfordshire. I like to think that this has given me a wide range of teaching styles, and an ability to help students with their specific goals. In previous years, I have had a particular focus on university admissions tests, the Spanish A-Level, and the Spanish Pre-U. I take a highly informal approach in all my work. Tutoring is not teaching: it's flexible, it's personal, and it doesn't have to feel like a lesson. I like to think I can offer tuition that goes beyond the boundaries of a syllabus - be it with extra information, cross-subject links (a desired attribute for Humanities), or with expansion into current affairs, debate, or literary analysis.
