I am a friendly recent graduate from French and History at King’s College London (expected: first class). I have lived in France and I achieved excellent A Level and GCSE results, so I am more than able to provide a framework my students to succeed. During my sessions, we will look at past papers, homework or play educational games, depending on the needs of the tutee. Once we have covered the material, I encourage my students to teach it back to me, because this both helps them retain the information and highlights whether they have really understood. I am an experienced babysitter, I love working with children or adults and I can’t wait to pass on my enthusiasm for French, history and literature! I look forward to hearing from you, Phoebe

In Paris, I picked a child up from school three times a week and helped her with her English homework and held basic conversations with her. We spoke only in English for fifteen minutes a day, and I taught her words that helped her express her hobbies and what she liked and disliked. Her accent and her confidence improved enormously. I have also taught sailing to challenging teenagers and learning disabled children, and volunteered with a charity to help challenging children with their homework. From this, I have learnt that patience and a different way of looking at a problem is often enough to help a child progress.
