My name is Panagiotis Sotiropoulos and I am a professional musician from Greece who lives and works in the UK. After being inspired by a rock local band at the age of 15, I picked up the guitar while taking my first steps. My first 5 years I was completely self-taught. Then, at the age of 20, I took my first guitar lesson and quickly developed a love for the instrument. Later, Philippos Nakas Conservatory gave me the opportunity to study jazz guitar along side renowned musicians, graduating with a Jazz Guitar degree in 2014. Along with the electric guitar, I became fond of many other instruments as well, such as electric bass, drums, saxophone and keys. Last but not least, I have gone into music production, composing and arranging for about 9 years, participating in several projects while creating my own music.

I've been providing one-to-one electric guitar and bass lessons since 2012. I've been teaching the guitar, bass, music theory and harmony to a wide range of ages and over these years, I've developed many teaching techniques based on students' needs, being motivated, supportive and patient. I believe that the functions of music theory and harmony are essential in order to get a deeper understanding of music and the instrument as well. I like my students to gradually gain a strong knowledge of intervals, basic triads, scales, timing, harmonic and melodic phrasing, music repertoire (blues, jazz, funk, latin, rock, metal), ear training, sight reading (prima vista). And here is my role as a tutor, to help my students understand every aspect of music. If you are eager to learn how to play the guitar correctly and are passionate about music, here is the right place!
