I recently received a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London (subject to minor corrections that I am currently completing). I have postgraduate degrees from the University of Oxford and Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA from the University of Durham. I am a patient, friendly and encouraging tutor, with several years of teaching at university and secondary school levels. I like to devise inventive lessons that are both fun and challenging, and that are tailored to the needs and goals of students. I hope to inspire an interest in the subjects I teach as well as prepare students as fully as possible for their exams and coursework. I have taught students with a wide range of educational needs, as well as students whose first language is not English.

I am a currently a Visiting Tutor in Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London, where I lead undergraduate seminars, the second year I have held this position. I have taught English as a second language at a summer school in Cambridge, teaching German students aged 14-16. I have lived for a year in Madrid, teaching English as an independent private tutor. During this time I also volunteered as an English-language teaching assistant in a secondary school near Madrid, and led several Philosophy classes there.
