Granted I am a new tutor, so don't have the experience like many others. But I believe I can connect with your child much easier just through the fact the exams they'll have taken would have been very similar to mine. This way I know I can pinpoint where your child is struggling and what I can do to help them prosper. 1. Answer questions from the student related to the work they're currently doing! I will take this feedback to construct the subsequent session. 2. Go through content from numerous sources and evaluate understanding. While yes it is important we stick to the exam board your child is sitting it always good to gather information not just strictly from that exam board. 3. Go through 2/3 past paper questions together, understanding how to approach the question and what is needed to attain all marks. 4. At the end of the session I'll give your child one question to go through themselves, once answered I will then mark it and provide the necessary feedback.
