I am a pharmacy student with a passion for science, particularly maths, biology, chemistry and computer programming. Maths was my favourite subject throughout most of education because it simply makes sense when you sit and think. As you can imagine, i was not a big fan of literature... I also find Maths easy because there are different ways to explain the same thing! Not everyone thinks the same, so obviously not everyone will understand something when explained the same way, so I think being able to adjust your teaching is very important.
I have been running sessions with my friends at uni and school to go through material that was taught to us during lessons. I was always looked at as "the person who probably understood it" and was often asked to explain it to them. I find making up questions and examples and then going through the solutions helps some students understand, whereas others need a detailed step-by-step explanation of a solved problem to then figure out how to solve the next one on their own.
