In the past three years I have had the opportunity to deliver, support and plan work in a classroom setting, allowing me to understand variety levels of education such as KS1, KS2 and KS3. I taught and marked Maths and English interventions to different groups of children aged between 8 to 10. This involvement helped them to prepare and be confident with their English and Maths overall. I acted as a main lead to focus on their problematic areas. The types of activities i focused on were strategic number counting; drill and practise; detect- practise & repair; cover, copy & complete and lastly reciprocal peer grouping. These activities were productive in helping and supporting the children to understand their work. Through this time i was very flexible in this role as i required to use skills such as: support in differentiating work; provide a challenging learning environment and utilise reading and writing routines in the classroom.
