Hi, Id like to use my experience to help others gain an understanding of the Chinese culture! Theres lots to learn - language, food, history and cultural differences etc. I studied Mandarin for 4 years at Middlesex University and lived in Guilin Guanxi for a year. I taught English to Chinese children and visited schools in poverty stricken villages. This could be an introduction to China and its culture or support through studying at GCSE level or more. I also have 2 young children, which I believe helps me have patience and understanding of how children learn and play. My interests and background consist of - motorsport, hairdressing, cooking food, working in retail Buying and Project Management.

I've spent several hours in China teaching the English Language with children from villages surrounding the Chinese university in Guilin. Best techniques have been to involve fun activities, structure and to let the child take the lead in their learning. Provide the information and guide them through the journey. This is something id include in lessons now. Provide personalised structured learning materials, which involves fun games which engages and encourages the student. Also engaging through listening, oral and written forms.
