My strong performance in my A level exams highlights a strong understanding of revision methods and exam preparation, as well as a good grasp of the course content. I also have experience as a mentor on LSE’s Widening Participation programme. Working with a group of students and teaching them revision techniques taught me to be organised and also helped me hone my communicative skills, and I believe these make me an excellent tutor. This is how I will conduct my mentoring sessions as well. I will tailor my sessions to the needs of my tutees, regularly checking with them to ensure the sessions are suitable. I will also use a variety of teaching materials, and visual aids if necessary, to ensure that I get the best results for my tutees. I am also very patient and easy to talk to. I definitely wouldn't mind going over topics my tutees may not have understood the first time if this is what it will take to help them reach their goals.

I worked under LSE's widening participation programme as a mentor at Walthamstow Academy. I organised weekly mentoring sessions for 3 students where I taught revision and time management techniques and offered guidance on various careers that they might be well-suited to explore. I regularly evaluated the progress from the previous sessions to ensure that my mentees got the best experience possible. I have also mentored in an after school club at a Primary School in East London. In the past, I have tutored maths A-level and Psychology A - Level I have also taught in a school as an assistant teacher of Maths.
