I have over 12 years of teaching experience, from Reception right through to Year 6, in private as well as maintained schools. I believe in a holistic approach to learning and tutoring is my passion. I believe in helping children put their education experience into context and to boost their confidence, motivation and passion for learning. General life and problem solving skills form a very important part of my approach and I feel that all children should have opportunities to follow their interests and find their purpose in life. I am also a mother of a ten year-old boy, so understand the significance and demands of a rewarding education journey.

My last six years in education was spent working 1:1 with individual children and small groups, teaching English & Maths, to pupils from an array of backgrounds (often very vulnerable) and requiring an alternative approach to their learning. They often needed specialist behavioural, physical and emotional support, as well as academic help.
