My name is Hayley and I am a young and friendly tutor currently completing a PhD in Petroleum Engineering at Imperial College London. I have a natural flair and enthusiasm for maths and science achieving 4 A*'s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I have tutored undergraduate students for the past 4 years, along with A-level students. I have provided more detailed experience of my tutoring approach below. I am currently based in Wandsworth and work in South West London, either at home, public libraries. I am happy to travel - please just get in touch to discuss. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I cannot wait to help your son or daughter achieve the bright future that they will have ahead! Hayley

I have tutored over 20 undergraduate students throughout my degrees and 8 A-level students (50+ hours taught) Maths and science can be hard and intimidating subjects for many. With 1 to 1 tutoring anybody can achieve top exam results. I believe that the best way to tutor is a focus on past papers to streamline students towards the highest grades but also believe that open discussion is the key to build understanding, confidence and a long lasting memory of the material. Each lesson I will cover a syllabus topic and work through the most common exam questions and then expand on them with discussion and further and more challenging question. This way students feel confident in their conceptual understanding and not simply anticipating questions. This approach makes the subject much more natural and rewarding while exciting and inspiring for students moving on to A levels and beyond!
