I work in the tech industry using data, strategy and automation to solve commercial problems for clients. In my spare time I enjoy tutoring a range of candidate abilities across A-level Further Maths, Physics or GCSE maths and science. It is important to be clear on the goals candidates hope to reach and structure sessions to help them in an effective way. Typical goals are to improve on test scores and reach university application requirements. These ultimately translate to helping students improve their subject knowledge and supporting and motivating them to practice. Raising ambitions and inspiring students to reach their potential is key. I also tutor a range of university preparation sessions from personal statements, Oxbridge applications and interviews. These sessions are structured to give the students a practice experience followed by feedback to help them better understand how to excel at the process. I am an avid traveller, food enthusiast and enjoy broadening my horizons.

Hans is an extremely knowledgeable and insightful Tutor. He understands the need to ask students questions: to explore what students understand about a topic rather than simply divulge answers. Hans has a lot of experience with students with various desires - some who wish to improve exam technique, some who are applying for Oxbridge and those who are simply inspired by their subject and want to push themselves. He is therefore adaptive and motivated to engage others in his passion, the physical sciences.
