After working as a lecturer at a high security prison for fourteen years, I felt the need for a change in career direction and a new challenge. Since then I have taken a variety of tutoring roles with training centres and tutoring agencies. I am now working exclusively as a self-employed tutor of English, Maths and Music. I have teaching, assessing and verifying experience in a wide range of subjects and am completely confident in my ability to do a good job for you. I have experience working with unemployed, disadvantaged and vulnerable groups: prisoners, the mentally ill, children in care, the retired. I have taught health promotion up to degree level and conducted research in the same field. I am able to bring to your organisation personal and professional integrity; a willingness to take responsibility for my work; the ability to learn very quickly; high intelligence. I am well versed in issues of client and organisational confidentiality, safeguarding and security.
