As an employee currently working at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, my role frequently involves imparting my knowledge about scientific principles and techniques to postgraduate students. I am a strong advocate of the idea that learning needn't be burdensome and daunting, but engaging and fun! The art of making science make sense requires time and patience, and a great deal of enthusiasm for teaching the subject. Naturally, science would not be science without it's fair share of mathematics...'it goes with the turf'; so it stands to reason that my scope of teaching extends to maths also. My approach to teaching these subjects is tailored to suit the needs of the student, whatever their level of understanding. There's nothing more fulfilling as a teacher than to see a student grasp the concepts and to go away equiped with the confidence to apply what they've learned to their studies.
