I am a professional playwright with a BA Hons (First) and MA (Distinction) in Drama and Theatre Studies. I have been working in primary, secondary and SEN schools throughout SW and SE London as a teaching assistant/tutor for over four years. I have developed invaluable experience teaching English to a wide range of students one on one. I especially enjoy helping those who need a little more time and support than others. It is for this reason I volunteer for the Hackney Pirates as a literacy support worker. Being a playwright naturally means I am always deeply involved with literature. I have a vested love of the written text and I often collaborate with young people on theatre projects to help unlock their creative writing. I believe I have the patience, sensitivity and analytical rigour needed in order to help students achieve their academic goals for English. I am open to working with students from KS3 through to A level.
