In my younger years I set up a business venture to design and manufacture professional 3D printers. I am currently doing an integrated MEng as a mature student at University of London as well as continuing my professional interest in 3D printing. Teaching at schools/colleges is not always sufficient as all students learn in different ways and all teachers teach in different ways. My aim is to help a student understand the concepts rather than pure facts; a true understanding of a subject entails an appreciation of its uses. The first session will be around learning needs assessment, with aim of bespoke modules tailored to address these needs subsequently; simplifying complicated subjects. As a student, I appreciate the need to maximise the return on revision and hence there is an emphasis on exam technique. As a teacher, I want to enthuse a passion for the subject and extend their understanding to the point where they enjoy solving these problems.
