I am a recent Oxford University graduate with experience in both tutoring and mentoring over the past 4 years. I graduated in 2017 and have since spent time working in Shanghai, Hong Kong and at home in Bristol. I have a BA in History, IB Diploma with 41 points (History, Latin, Maths, Physics, English, French) and 11 A*s at GCSE. On top of this, my experience teaching Latin to a class of 7-14 year olds and mentoring underprivileged students (part of this took the form of academic teaching) has made me a communicative, encouraging, relatable and accomplished tutor at primary school level, right up until A Level/IB. I am also available for Oxford University coaching and advice, alongside tutoring in History and English. I’m based in Bristol where I grew up, but am available for online tutoring.

I taught Latin as an after school lesson for primary school children, getting them to the level of their private school counterparts in order to increase the likelihood of being admitted to their secondary school of choice. I mentored an underprivileged student for 2 years, across GCSEs and A Levels. This involved academic tutoring alongside the development of soft skills and planning her future. I contributed to her achievement of higher than expected GCSE and AS level results, obtaining a place on a fully funded trip to Canada, a place in her sixth form of choice, organising work experience and university application coaching. In both of these roles I was required to plan lessons in order to continually reach goals and engage a variety of students. I am passionate about active learning, which I believe to be a excellent way of not only imparting knowledge, but of developing confidence - the key to any students success. I am open and chatty, but I have high expectations.
