I'm a qualified teacher with over 4 years of teaching experience. I have taught in year 1, year 3, year 5 and year 6. I have experience in preparing children for their SATs test and other assessment tests. Learning should be fun, challenging and fulfilling for students, in my opinion and I strive to make each session accessible and enjoyable through differentiation. No student is the same and so a tailor made approach is taken with each of my sessions.

I have tutored small groups multiple times as well as individuals on a one-to-one basis. I have experience working with children with SEN and children who are considerably behind in school. Tutoring is about knowing each student and understanding how they learn in order to install in them a love of learning. My first sessions with previous students usually involve getting to know their current capabilities and establishing any gaps in learning that they may have. As a parent myself, I always welcome parental input and like to work alongside parents wherever possible. This way the student's learning is reinforced by myself, the parents and the school they are attending. If parents have any worries, I am open for a chat to answer any queries.
