I hold a BA in Greek Philology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s Degree in Modern Greek Philology from the same University. I am currently completing a PhD in Modern Greek Studies. After working in Greece as a tutor in Classical and Modern Greek for eight years, in 2014 I moved to Birmingham to start my PhD. While in Birmingham, I worked as a teacher at the Greek School of Apostolos Andreas (Nursery/Reception class, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6). As a private tutor, I worked with students preparing for their GCSE exams in Modern Greek as well as with adults seeking to improve their comprehension, speaking and general communication skills. Having extensive experience in teaching students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, I always strive to ensure that each lesson is tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner.
