My name is Eleanor & I have been a fully qualified doctor for the past 2 years. I have A-levels in Maths, Chemistry & Biology, & an MBChB degree from Sheffield University. I thoroughly enjoy teaching all ages & abilities, gaining initial experience teaching my younger sister & medical students. Having struggled myself at school & being given a diagnosis of dyslexia very late, I have a different perspective & approach to teaching than most tutors. My principle is that no one is born with knowledge & that we all learn from different teaching styles. I try to make things simple & easy because I believe that to perform well educationally, a strong knowledge foundation is needed, making school/college easier & higher grades more obtainable. In my sessions I would aim to improve understanding of topics the student is struggling with, in a relaxed atmosphere where they feel comfortable to ask questions. Learning can be fun when delivered in the right way!
Whilst I have not had any official tutoring experience, I have a younger sister who I have helped tutor through her GCSE, A-level and degree levels, in addition to teaching medical students and junior doctors as part of my job.
