I graduated from Cambridge with an English degree in 2015. Since then I have worked as a journalist and have recently moved in to television production. I am friendly, patient, and come from a family of teachers! I enjoy working with young people. My lessons will be skill-focused. Using material from the syllabus, we will build a skill base that will help preparation for exams. Skills will include close reading, sentence construction, and discussion. For close reading we will practise the deconstruction of a piece of text, an important skill sought out at Oxbridge. For sentence construction, we will put together sharp and effective sentences, which form the basis of successful essays. In discussion we will practise consolidating thoughts and communicating them effectively. I will make sure students are combining their knowledge with skills that will help them ahead of exams, interviews and undergraduate study.

I spent two summers of University working at the educational summer camp, 'Cambridge Immerse'. I was a 'summer mentor', and as part of the programme, I was responsible for the pastoral care of 80 teenagers. This included helping them with their course work, personal statements, and personal development. I also taught English in India for six weeks in the summer of 2016. I regularly proof read and make suggestions on the school work of family, and family friends.
