I have an extensive and proven track record of raising learner attainment across multiple subjects, specialising in English and Media. I am excellent at differentiating for all academic levels, providing additional support for lower level learners, and challenging high level learners to excel beyond their expectations. My background includes working in primary schools, secondary schools and FE/HE institutions as well as pupil referral units, so I consider myself to be adaptable to cater for all ages and level of study. In terms of qualifications and training, I am a fully qualified teacher and have undertaken many additional courses to enable me to effectively teach learners with special educational needs and disabilities, ranging from mild to severe. I also regularly update my Safeguarding, Prevent Strategy and Team Teach training.

I previously worked as a tutor, teaching English for Literacy4U. I offered this service in the comfort of students own homes and the increase in learner attainment was substantial. My success rate for GCSE students to achieve a grade C or above was 95% and my younger learners built upon their reading and writing skills which helped them achieve more at school. I have also taught Creative Media at secondary, FE and HE level at several institutions across Manchester. Currently I work as a part time Creative and Digital Media Lecturer at Burnley College, teaching across FE and HE, and also teach Social Media Marketing Apprenticeships at level 3 and 4.
