Hi, I'm Dan and I study Geophysics at Imperial College London. Geophysics is a combination of maths, applied physics, and programming which we use to model the earth and processes around it. I have had experience tutoring with an organisation through my university in a local school so I'm very much up to scratch! What makes me a great tutor is that I won't just tell you the answer, I will guide you through the problem as you're doing it so you can get stuck into the hows and whys of what you're doing. I believe this is the best way for you to learn a process as facts are solidified when you do them, not when you're told them. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and hiking with the Fellwanderers club at Imperial of which I am a committee member.

I volunteered as a tutor through Pimlico Connections where 2.5 hours a week I went to Chelsea Academy to help A Level students in a casual setting. In my experience the methods that worked best with this was asking questions back about what they understood about the problem and making them piece it together which is something I would like to explore further and adapt.
