.I was born in Barnsley, went to Bristol University and then came to London. I have spent over 33 years working as a teacher in primary schools, the last 12 years of which as a head teacher. I have now gone on to work part time for the University of Buckingham tutoring teachers, which I have found most enjoyable. I am also continuing to tutor primary children aged between 5 and 11 which is even more enjoyable. My pupils come from various parts of north London but mainly Highgate, Muswell Hill and East Finchley .I am happy to visit children at their homes but they often prefer to come and work with me in my studio which is large, well equipped at all levels and reserved for pupil use only..We will begin again from August.I have many references if you wish to have copies and feel free to come and meet me..Best wishes Carey Miller

As mentioned, I have tutored for over 20 years, usually on Saturday or Sunday mornings. I would not have more than two or three tutees over the weekend. They usually pay me for an hour's lesson. Occasionally, for younger children or children needing more support I charge less.
