I am currently in my third and final year of studying primary teacher training with English specialism, at the University of Reading. Having recently finished placements in Key Stages 1 and 2 with outstanding feedback, I feel that have the training and methods needed to provide tailored one to one tutoring. I take a very passionate approach to learning and feel strongly that every child can achieve what they want or need to achieve- If given a nurturing, motivating and challenging environment in which to do so, along with teaching that matches their needs and helps them to grow.

As stated, I am currently in training to become a teacher, with the focus age of my course being 5-11 year olds. I have had plenty of time in various classrooms, teaching different age groups and levels of learning. I have completed four placements of up to 8 weeks in: foundation stage; year 1; year 4; and year 5 classes with exceeding feedback from class teachers and from the children! I loved every minute of each experience and feel confident as a teacher in my own right now, as I grasp both practical and theoretical skills to teaching the primary age group. In my spare time during term, I have worked for a childcare companies, both on a permanent basis and to cover sickness/holiday absences in lots of different nurseries and pre-schools, working with children aged 0-4 years old. This has given me an even better understanding of the ways that children develop and the importance of early experiences on their later lives, both educational and otherwise.
