I am an experienced modern languages tutor who specialises in teaching French and English as well as German and English as a foreign language. What makes me a particularly stand out tutor is that I am a native speaker which means that I have a natural flair and understanding of the intricacies of the languages and culture. In terms of of how I teach I allow my students freedom with that they would like to study (unless there are some they must cover for a curriculum). It is course possible to cater more specifically for their interests within this but also if they want to simply deepen their understanding of the language and learn merely for leisure for example . Having mentioned this , in order to improve, it is consistent work which is most important when looking to master a language. For this grammar will be practiced using media such as newspaper articles so that students can broaden cultural understanding and read about topics of interest.

I have tutored well over 50 students (considering both private homebased and online tuition) on sites such as italki, as well as titanium tutors, an elite tutoring firm based in London. Typically I like to use learning systems in order for my students to achieve goals and ultimately improve as consistent practice works best for everything. As a result I give students a 10 word vocab list which is level appropriate every week. Along with this using newspaper articles as practice for understanding certain tenses depending on the student's level allows not only practice of tenses but also topic specific vocabulary. This was particularly effective in the French and German clinics I have run for GCSE exam preparation where results went from 78% A-C to 84% A*-B. Similarly in French the results went from 79% A*-C to 82*A*-B
